Discovery Days

Put the 'buzz' back into your history topic

Let us help you be creative and innovative. Bringing your local history to life is our business. Our expert uses replica artefacts and costumes to actively engage pupils to think about history.

Our sessions put the 'wow' back into the curriculum by encouraging Ďhands-oní activity. History is put into context to challenge and develop pupilís understanding of people from the past.

Our aim is to help you to achieve learning goals at Key stage 2. Sessions can be tailored to your specific needs and are designed to give wide scope for inspiring extended activities into subjects such as English, maths, geography, art, RE and citizenship.

You are supported with teacherís notes and activity sheets to ensure that you get the best value for the school from the session.

Remember, there are no expensive coach fees, risk assessments and form filling, the resources come to you.

We leave your pupils with a memorable, entertaining and enlightening experience of what history teaches us. We leave you with follow up activities to enhance your scheme of work.

Let us inspire your pupils.

What we offer:

Discovery Days

Our exciting school sessions are designed to meet National Curriculum requirements at key stages 1 and 2.

Whilst Discovery Days can be used as 'stand alone' activities we ensure there is plenty of material for follow up work. Teachers are assisted with easy to use resources and the pupils left with enthusiasm for the subject.

Choose from Roman, Anglo-Saxon or Viking sessions.

Each involves studying the nature of the evidence and its discovery. Subjects covered can include food and drink, clothes, trade, industry, games, stories, religion and warfare.

Each session will be led by our costumed expert who will engage the group with a variety of themes. Our attitude is that through 'hands-on' we get 'minds-on'.
